LAKELAND, Fla. — The Detroit Tigers have not announced specific plans on how they will deal with the coronavirus scare for their home opener of the major league season March 30 at Comerica Park, but they said in a statement they are following guidelines from health and league officials.
“Public health and safety of our fans is our first priority at all of our venues,” the Tigers said in a statement released Wednesday to the Free Press. “In addition to following CDC guidelines, we are staying in close touch with local, state and federal health agencies, industry leaders and league officials on best practices.
