LAKELAND, Fla. — The Houston Astros, villains of professional baseball, pulled into Joker Marchant Stadium parking lot Monday morning in two buses.
Some are calling them the Houston Asterisks. Others are just flat-out calling them cheaters after the sign-stealing scandal that has overshadowed spring training.
“The bus is coming!” somebody from ESPN said.
ESPN sent a four-person crew to Tiger Town on Monday to document the Astros’ first away game of the Grapefruit League season, and several intriguing questions lingered:
How would the Tigers interact with the Astros? How would a crowd in Lakeland react to the Astros on a Monday afternoon?
