During batting practice on Thursday afternoon at Comerica Park, Christin Stewart was crushing baseballs.
At the end of his second round, he hit one onto the Pepsi Porch in right field – a second-deck shot which is rarely seen at the Detroit Tigers’ spacious confines.
His teammates went nuts.
A few hours later, Stewart hit his first two major league home runs, the first barely clearing the wall in right field in the bottom of the first inning of the Tigers’ series opener against the Kansas City Royals.
