What happened: The Detroit Tigers lost to the Cleveland Indians, 9-2, on Sunday afternoon at Comerica Park. With Indians’ ace right-hander Corey Kluber on the mound, it was a mismatch. Kluber allowed two runs on five hits over eight innings and was supported by a good offensive effort. Artie Lewicki pitched OK for the Tigers, but Drew VerHagen’s bad sixth inning put the game out of reach.
