Detroit Tigers call up Dustin Molleken to bolster bullpen

The Detroit Tigers have purchased the contract of right-handed pitcher Dustin Molleken from Triple-A Toledo and designated infielder Casey McGehee for assignment.

In 23 appearances, including four starts, with the Mud Hens, Molleken has a 1-3 record with a 3.76 ERA. He will wear No. 50 as the Tigers start a series against the Seattle Mariners tonight.

The Tigers have also transferred righthanded pitcher Drew VerHagen to the 60-day disabled list.
