Saturday’s Triple-A game for the Toledo Mud Hens is apparently going to look like the major leagues.
Ok, not really. The Mud Hens will be wearing Jurassic Park themed jerseys at Fifth Third Field in Toledo, which doesn’t exactly scream professional baseball, but two big league pitchers will be in those uniforms for Toledo.
Relief pitcher Bruce Rondon will make another rehab appearance in Triple-A, throwing two innings on Saturday. That will be in relief for Tigers starter Justin Verlander, who is making his second rehab start.
Initially, the Detroit Tigers were planning to recall Rondon from his rehab assignment Friday, but the change of plans has the right-hander scheduled for another Triple-A outing Saturday according to MLive.
