Trevor Williams admitted to "playing Russian Roulette all day" by yielding five walks to the Detroit Tigers. But they failed to do anything with those free passes and got blanked, 1-0, by the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday in the first game of a day-night doubleheader at Comerica Park.

Williams tossed six hitless innings and struck out one. It was the first hitless appearance of his big-league career.
