Detroit Tigers' Blaine Hardy takes no-hit bid into seventh inning

OAKLAND, Calif. — Blaine Hardy knew what was going on.

When he took the mound for the bottom of the seventh inning on Friday night with the Oakland Coliseum scoreboard showing a lot of zeroes, one jumped out at Hardy.

“Oh, I knew,” he said. “I got to a point where, when I went back out for the seventh, I kind of glanced down to see if we had anybody warming up and nobody was warming up, so I was like, 'Alright, this game’s mine, let’s see how far I could go.'”
