The biggest piece of the Detroit Tigers’ summer camp fell into place Tuesday afternoon when the team announced the signing of No. 1 overall pick Spencer Torkelson.
Now come the rest of the Tigers, who are scheduled to begin reporting Wednesday morning to Comerica Park for training camp. Many already have arrived in the Detroit area, including Miguel Cabrera, who was spotted hitting at an indoor batting cage Tuesday afternoon in Clinton Township.
When the players arrive, they will have their temperatures taken and be tested for the coronavirus before resuming preparations for the 2020 season.
