Detroit Tigers Minor League Notes
Over at the Toledo Blade a couple of articles worth reading. First, prospect pitcher Kyle Funkhouser will miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury. In what is probably the most Detroit Sports injury ever, Funkhouser suffered an ankle fracture while walking home from a game. It’s also another reason why minor league players need to be paid more-prospects shouldn’t be walking home in the dark after a game.
The second article worth reading is on Christin Stewart’s defense. Stewart’s defense has been a sour spot for baseball scouts, but John Wagner writes that Stewart has been making strides in the right direction with Triple-A Toledo.
