LAKELAND, Fla. — The loss of Michael Fulmer for the season to Tommy John surgery has raised a lot of questions about the Tigers' rotation, enough that general manager Al Avila called an impromptu 8 a.m. media availability to discuss the right hander.

But the biggest name to come out of Avila’s early morning session was Nicholas Castellanos, and his future with the Tigers.
