The Detroit Tigers announced on Tuesday they have agreed to terms with six players on minor league contracts for the upcoming season.
Of the six, catcher Brayan Peña and infielder Pete Kozma were invited to the Tigers' major league spring training camp. The other four players: right-handed pitchers Phillippe Aumont and Orbandy Rodriguez; left-handed pitcher Liarvis Breto and outfielder Herlis Rodriguez.
Peña, 36, spent the entire 2017 season at Triple-A Omaha, in the Royals organization. He hit .274 with three doubles and 15 RBIs in 38 games. He played 12 seasons in the majors, including 2013 with the Tigers.
