Detroit Tigers players will look to finish the regular season on a positive note after a rough 2017 campaign.
The Tigers, who entered play on Friday with a 63-96, won on Thursday in Kansas City.
Detroit has faltered down the stretch, with just five September wins compared to 22 losses. Additionally, the month of September has also included a nine-game losing streak, a six-game losing streak and a five-game slide.
That being said, the Tigers were able to pull out a win on Thursday night.
Starting pitcher Daniel Norris turned in a strong outing, with just two hits allowed in five innings.
