Detroit Tigers players will look to rebound on Saturday following a double-header sweep at the hands of Cleveland on Friday.
The first game of the double header certainly didn’t lack in quality, as Matthew Boyd fired off five innings of one-run ball.
Boyd allowed just five hits and two walks on the day, striking out five.
Offensively, both Jose Iglesias and James McCann notched three-hit games, while Nicholas Castellanos and Alex Presley tallied two hits apiece.
Reliever Joe Jimenez also was a positive, working around two hits to throw a scoreless seventh.
