Detroit Tigers players will look to build some positive momentum down the stretch.
With starting pitcher Justin Verlander and outfielder Justin Upton having been dealt, Detroit is in full-on rebuild moved.
That being said, the team did just win two of three against the Colorado Rockies.
Verlander won what proved to be his final start in a Detroit uniform, pitching six strong innings.
He surrendered just three hits, a run, a walk and a home run. In vintage Verlander fashion, he punched out nine on the day.
Drew VerHagen and Alex Wilson threw scoreless frames in relief, while Shane Greene worked the ninth inning.
