Detroit Tigers will look to continue the team’s winning way son Tuesday in the opener of a two-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Tigers previously salvaged a three-game series in Boston with an 8-3 win to avoid a sweep.
Daniel Norris got the win, giving up seven hits, three walks and two runs in five innings. He struck out six.
Elsewhere, the team’s bullpen limited Boston to just one run despite surrendering five hits and three walks.
Shane Greene, Francisco Rodriguez, Alex Wilson and Justin Wilson combined for four strikeouts on the day.
