The Detroit Tigers' continued their mastery over the Minnesota Twins with a tense 5-4 victory on Monday night. The Tigers are now 4-0 over the Twins and 11-2 over the A.L. Central division.
The Tigers' offense erupted right out of the gate against soft tossing Twins' starter Tommy Milone. Jose Iglesias, batting in the two-spot in the lineup for the first time this year, launched a solo home run in the first inning. Yoenis Cespedes followed four batters later by crushing a three-run shot to give the Tigers a 4-0 lead before many fans had found their seats.
