The Detroit Tigers announced yesterday that lefty Francisco Liriano will be in the starting rotation this season. Only Liriano and ace Michael Fulmer are current locks to have jobs in the starting rotation.
The Tigers brought in Liriano because of his veteran experience, and his arm, skipper Ron Gardenhire told reporters on Sunday.
The starting rotation isn’t the only part of the Tigers lineup that still needs work. Chris McCosky, of the Detroit News, writes that the batting order is still a work in progress.
