Detroit — Steven Moya's stock has faltered over the last year, inside and outside Tigers circles.
But Moya, himself, never placed any expectations upon himself as to where he'd be today.
After all, he didn't even start playing baseball until 10 years ago, when he was 14.
"I thought I was gonna be an architect, or in college somewhere," Moya, one of the Tigers' September callups, said before Wednesday's series finale against the Tampa Bay Rays. "But not a baseball player.
"I never thought I was gonna be here."
Moya, now 24, always loved school and studying.
