Mike Gerber cracked a three-run shot in the first inning, but Tyler Alexander slowly let the lead get away from him. Drew VerHagen allowed a pair of runs in the eighth as the Clippers pulled away. The Hens scored a run in the ninth but couldn’t sustain a rally. Jacob Robson stayed hot with a two-hit night including a double, and three runs scored.
