Detroit Tigers infielder Dawel Lugo just needed to calm down.
Manager Ron Gardenhire could tell he was wound up and worried about losing a spot on the big-league roster. Even after making the 30-man out of summer camp, the Tigers had to trim their crew by two players before Thursday.
They chose to keep Lugo, who is ready to prove the organization didn't make a mistake.
