Daniel Norris to start on Saturday against the Yankees, per report

This has been hinted at all week, but Lynn Henning of the Detroit News confirms that Daniel Norris will be recalled from Toledo on Saturday to start against the New York Yankees. Norris has been on the 60-day disabled list since undergoing surgery to remove scar tissue in his groin back on May 3rd. In other news, left-hander Blaine Hardy has been reinstated to the 25-roster on Friday after a disabled list stint for elbow tendonitis. He’ll be available to manager Ron Gardenhire Friday night in New York.

Saturday is, of course, September 1 and the day upon which the entire 40-man roster becomes eligible.
