CHICAGO -- On a day in which four home runs sailed out of the park, the game was decided at the plate.
Javier Baez stole home to help lead the Chicago Cubs to a 5-2 win and a sweep of the two-game series against the Detroit Tigers on Wednesday afternoon at Wrigley Field.
With a runner on first base, Baez took off for home at the first movement of Tigers starter Francisco Liriano. First baseman John Hicks pivoted and fired the ball to the plate in enough time to nab Baez, but he swam around catcher James McCann's tag to score.
