CHICAGO — The Tigers were a little angry.
They showed up to Guaranteed Rate Field on Saturday morning with the sun shining and they wanted to take batting practice on the field. But the White Sox grounds crew wasn’t welcoming to that idea: The field, they said, was too cold and in no shape for on-field work, with mounds of dirt piled up around the infield.
