CINCINNATI – When it rained here on June 18, it poured.
They couldn't play baseball at Great American Ball Park that night, so here we were on tonight in August, with the Tigers ahead five runs in the sixth inning.
The skies were clear.
And then, with one out, it started raining. Pouring. And after right-hander Buck Farmer lost a no-hit bid an inning earlier, then a shutout bid and then the ball, it came down on the Tigers bullpen like it hasn't come down on them this season.
They weren't raindrops, but Reds runs.
