The Mud Hens’ offense did good work on Tuesday, hammering Red Sox pitching early and continuing to build on their lead through the game. Christin Stewart erupted in this one, launching his third home run and racking up four hits on the night. Jason Krizan stayed red hot, scoring three times and racking up three hits and a walk to sustain his .448 batting average in the early going. Chad Bell and Victor Alcantara didn’t miss many bats, but managed seven innings of two-run ball between them. The Hens tacked on insurance runs late and Kevin Comer struck out four in two innings of work to smother any hope of a Red Sox rally.
