DETROIT -- One of the game's best pitchers facing a make-shift lineup that included five youngsters who had never faced him before?
Yeah, this one went about as expected.
Boston Red Sox starter Chris Sale dominated the Detroit Tigers for six scoreless innings to lead his team to a 9-1 victory Sunday afternoon at Comerica Park.
The win gave the Red Sox (70-31) both the weekend series and the season series over the Tigers (42-59).
Sale allowed just two hits and didn't walk a batter. He struck out nine and got 18 swings-and-misses among his 99 pitches.
