Zach McAllister's baseball career has come full circle.
The 35-year-old Chillicothe native signed a minor league deal with the New York Yankees on Saturday, returning to the team that drafted him nearly two decades ago.
McAllister became a free agent Wednesday when the Arizona Diamondbacks granted his release. Three days later, he signed with the Yankees, the team that selected him in the third round of the 2006 MLB amateur draft out of Illinois Valley Central.
Z-Mac has reported to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, returning to the Pennsylvania club after last pitching there on Aug.
