The Eastern League and International League All-Star Games take place on Wednesday. Both the Toledo Mud Hens and Erie SeaWolves will resume action on Thursday. The Mud Hens’ Chad Huffman won the second Triple-A Home Run Derby of his career on Tuesday. He cranked 10 bombs in the championship round to take home the title.
Franklin Perez tossed a rehab start in place of Matt Manning on Tuesday. It didn’t go great, but he got his work in. Perez worked three innings, allowing two runs, and some hard contact along the way.
