DETROIT -- The second-half struggles that had followed Nicholas Castellanos disappeared on Monday with a visit from the White Sox, a team he has tormented all season.
The Tigers' outfielder fueled his first career five-hit game with a go-ahead two-run homer in the seventh and a two-run single in the eighth, sending Detroit to its third win in four games with a 9-5 victory at Comerica Park.
A game that began with a healthy dose of small-ball, including three sacrifice flies between the two sides, eventually came down to two home runs.
