LAKELAND, Fla. — Casey Mize wants to clarify something.
He has heard the narrative building around Tiger Town, the Detroit Tigers' spring training home, about how he’s the first one at the complex every morning.
A reporter asks if it’s meant to set a tone for the rest of the team, and he just wants to be honest.
“There are guys here earlier than me,” he said, shaking his head, trying to dispel any notion that he is working harder than the rest.
