PITTSBURGH -- As the weather has slowly warmed up, Detroit's offense has heated up to midseason form. Wednesday was no exception, as Jeimer Candelario and the Tigers put on a power display against the Pirates at PNC Park.
It only took six innings for the Tigers to tie their season high with four home runs, and they tacked on four more doubles to boot.
Leonys Martin got the game off to a quick start with a leadoff home run to center field just two pitches after fouling a ball into his groin.
