LAKELAND, Fla. - The Detroit Tigers' pitching struggles were by far a secondary concern near the end of their 6-2 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays Friday afternoon.
The focus at a quiet Joker Marchant Stadium was for the status and well-being of Blue Jays reliever T.J. House, who was struck in the head by a hard shot off the bat of John Hicks in the ninth inning.
After being struck, House went to the ground, where he remained face down along the edge of the mound for about 15 minutes before an EMS vehicle was able to arrive.
