Blown opportunity: Tigers lose it in 15th

Seattle – This one is going to leave a mark.

The Tigers blew a 4-1 lead in the eighth inning Tuesday. Then, after exhausting their bullpen grinding through six extra innings, they took a 5-4 lead in the top of the 15th on Victor Martinez's 20th home run of the season.

Still wasn't good enough.

The Mariners scored twice off closer Francisco Rodriguez in the bottom of the 15th, winning the game 6-5. It was the Tigers third straight loss.

An RBI single by Kyle Seager tied it and a sacrifice fly by Mike Zunino won it.
