One thing seems certain, as certain as things can seem still months away from a five-or-10 round MLB Draft which is tentatively scheduled for sometime between June and July: The Detroit Tigers are going to select either Austin Martin or Spencer Torkelson with the No. 1 overall pick.
Whether it's Martin or Torkelson, not even Baseball America can make up its mind.
In the publication's first mock draft, released prior to the start of the college baseball season in February, the Tigers were tabbed to select Martin, the Vanderbilt third baseman who is ranked by both Baseball America and Perfect Game as the top amateur prospect in the 2020 class.
