Detroit Tigers general manager Al Avila doesn’t expect Miguel Cabrera to go anywhere — other than ending up at the Hall of Fame wearing the old English D on his plaque.
“I think Cabrera is going to be with the Tigers the remainder of his career,” Avila said on Thursday. “He’s going to be a Hall of Famer. Mr. Ilitch wanted to keep him here. And he’s going to wear that Detroit Tigers cap.
