Ausmus, Romine will be at Detroit Baseball Dinner

Detroit Tigers manager Brad Ausmus, as well as super-sub Andrew Romine, will be among celebrity guests and speakers at the 16th annual Detroit Baseball Dinner, set for 6 p.m., Jan. 21, in the Amnesia Room at MotorCity Casino in Detroit.

Romine, who was invaluable in 2016 as an infield and outfield fill-in, will receive the Bill MacAdam Tenth Man Award, which annually is issued to a Tigers backup player who has been of extraordinary service.

Tigers general manager Al Avila, a regular attendee at past Detroit Baseball Dinners, will be busy the same evening in New York presenting Tigers pitcher Michael Fulmer with the American League Rookie of the Year Award.
