OAKLAND, Calif. – Francisco Rodriguez sat in front of his locker, his jersey draped over his head, and he sat there for a while. From the minute he arrived into the cramped visitors clubhouse at Oakland Coliseum, past the time much of the team had left for the bus some 45 minutes later.
Rodriguez blew his third save of the season on Saturday night, able to get the first two Athletics out in the bottom of the ninth inning, but not the last one. It was a walk, a double and a walk-off single as his early-season ineffectiveness continued.
