LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Toledo Mud Hens will remain the Triple-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers through at least the 2020 season.
The Tigers announced the extension of their player development contract on Friday.

The short 60-mile drive between Toledo and Detroit makes it an especially convenient arrangement for the Tigers.
"It's nice to have a situation where something happens on a night game and you've got a day game the next day, you can have a player right there," said Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire.
