Today is the five-year anniversary of Armando Galarraga's perfect game that wasn't. The Detroit Tigers are still lacking this feat in their 115 year history because of this play, a play that all Tigers fans know well.
As devastating as it was, I always prefer to put the next video at the forefront of the whole occasion. It is a good reminder that umpires are human and Jim Joyce is a hell of an umpire. He embraced the mistake like a man, and he should be commended for that. Not to mention, there are an astounding amount of FEELS pouring out of this video.
