Anibal Sanchez gives up four home runs as Tigers lose fifth straight

ARLINGTON, Texas – The pitcher’s mound at Globe Life Park in Arlington is located a half mile away from Six Flags Over Texas.

At the state’s biggest amusement park, there are a dozen roller coasters.

The Detroit Tigers likely will not take a trip there this weekend. They are in the midst of a roller coaster-like dip of their own.

Their losing streak hit five games on Friday night against the high-powered Rangers offense, which beat up right-hander Anibal Sanchez early and often. Sanchez dug the Tigers too deep a hole early against Yu Darvish, allowing four runs in the first inning, and his offense tried, but couldn’t catch up in an 8-5 loss.
