As a general rule, the more ridiculous the Fox Sports broadcast gets, the worse the game is going for the Tigers. On Sunday, as the Tigers were shut out in Oakland, Kirk Gibson and Mario Impemba did shooters of jalapeno juice. Tonight, Gibby tried to get in-seat broadcaster Johnny Kane to admit to being a “Swiftee” (a Taylor Swift fan) by asking if he ever used a Swiffer. Kane, earlier, tried to get Gibby to give him a euphemism for “poppycock.”
That said, in spite of the on-air crew’s antics, there were some interesting moments worthy of note in tonight’s late game.
