Alex Faedo and Drew Carlton combine for a no-hitter in Erie

For a second straight outing, Hens’ starter Kyle Funkhouser couldn’t get through a single inning. An error by Pete Kozma allowed the Knights’ leadoff hitter on base in the first. From there, Funkhouser completely fell apart. He walked Alcides Escobar, got one groundout, then surrendered a double that made it 2-0 Knights. He got one more out before walking four straight batters, the final two with the bases loaded. Hens manager Doug Mientkiewicz came with the hook after 40 pitches, only 16 of which were strikes. Something seems quite amiss with Funkhouser at the moment.
