Former Detroit Tigers second baseman Lou Whitaker will be in Cooperstown this weekend for the Baseball Hall of Fame ceremonies.

He will watch former teammate Jack Morris and former double-play partner Alan Trammell inducted as the first two Tigers from the 1984 World Series championship team.

Whitaker isn't there to receive a bust. His name won't be etched in stone with Trammell — the player he played 1,918 games with in Detroit.

This isn't how Trammell envisioned the day to be.
