SEATTLE -- It’s mid-June, but it’s not too early to get the sense that the Detroit Tigers’ season is on the brink.
After a May filled with hellacious road trips, June was supposed to be more manageable. It hasn’t worked that way. The Tigers are four games under .500 and about to start a seven-game West coast road trip Monday night in Seattle.
It’s not like the Tigers have to go 7-0 on this trip. But if they go 2-5 or 1-6 or (gulp) 0-7, it’s likely they will have dug themselves a hole too deep to dig out of.
