TAMPA -- Lefty Kyle Ryan and right-handers Buck Farmer and Logan Kensing continue to make the case that they belong on the Detroit Tigers’ 25-man roster.
In Monday night's exhibition against the New York Yankees, Farmer allowed two hits and one walk over three scoreless innings in his second start and sixth appearance of the spring. He struck out one.
“Glad I got to face a lineup like that,” Farmer said. “It was good to have success. There’s some areas that I definitely need to improve on, especially like fastball command.”
Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said Farmer is more confident, and it shows on the mound.
