With our 33rd ranked Detroit Tigers prospect, we enter the 35+ future value tier. These players have tools that could make them a major league contributor in time, but with enough weaknesses to make them a distinct longshot. 21-year-old right-hander Carlos Marcano features a quality sinker and advanced command, but still needs to find a better out pitch as he looks to advance to the Double-A level in 2025.

The Venezuelan born Marcano is a six-foot-two right-hander who signed with the Tigers as a 17-year-old back in January of 2021. He was immediately very impressive for his age in a look at the Dominican Summer League as a reliever, and the club brought him stateside for a short stint at Low-A Lakeland in 2022 as the second youngest player in the league.
