Most of the prospects in a currently stacked Detroit Tigers farm system arrived through the amateur draft, international free agency, or via trade. However, Scott Harris has also kept a close eye on the waiver wire and other team’s 40-man roster issues since taking over the Tigers. As you might expect, some of his best finds have come from overflow from the juggernaut known as the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. Infielder Eddys Leonard was picked up back in August 2023 after the Dodgers designated him for assignment to open a roster spot.
The 24-year-old doesn’t profile as a future starting infielder.
