CHICAGO — The Detroit Tigers brought their bats to Guaranteed Rate Field on Sunday afternoon, but by looking at the box score, you might not have been able to tell.
Their strikeout issues continued in a 4-1 loss, with 20 total strikeouts, including flailing early and often against White Sox right-hander Reynaldo Lopez.
Lopez set a career-high with 14 strikeouts.
The Tigers scored one run — on an RBI single by Grayson Greiner in the top of the second inning — but couldn’t muster as much as a threat the rest of the way.
