In today's Tigers trade rumors and news update, the Detroit Tigers have expressed interest in Philadelphia Phillies reliever Antonio Bastardo and could also be sending out feelers in regards to Phillies closer Jonathan Papelbon.
According to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports 1, the Tigers are being extremely diligent on the trade market when it comes to looking for bullpen help:
Tigers showing interest in Phillies LHP Bastardo, sources tell @Ken_Rosenthal and me. Keeping tabs on all relievers -- including Papelbon.

Bastardo has had a serviceable 2014 campaign for Philadelphia, pitching to a 3.38 ERA in 42.2 innings pitched (42 appearances). His 1.102 WHIP would service as the second-best mark of six-year MLB career.
Papelbon, on the other hand, has been completely dominant in his third year with the Phillies. The 33-year-old righty is posting a 1.17 ERA and 0.835 WHIP while issuing just nine walks against 33 strikeouts in 38.1 innings pitched.
